- 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
- 2 bell peppers (red and yellow), sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for an additional minute.
- Return the sausage to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for another 3-4 minutes to heat through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to use any type of sausage you prefer, such as chicken or turkey sausage.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
- This dish can be served over rice or pasta for a more filling meal.
