Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 4 large onions, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
- 12 slider buns
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil.
- Add the sliced onions and sauté until they are soft and caramelized, about 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the onions are caramelized, add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, form the ground beef into small patties, about the size of the slider buns.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty to melt.
- To assemble, place a beef patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each slider bun, top with a generous spoonful of caramelized onions, and cover with the top half of the bun.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, consider adding sliced jalapeños to the sliders.
- You can prepare the caramelized onions a day in advance to save time.
- These sliders can be served with a side of ketchup or Dijon mustard for dipping.
