Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Press the pretzel mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
- Top with cherry pie filling, spreading it evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- If desired, sprinkle with chopped pecans on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares and serving.
